I have created a simple web interface that does all the migration in our VPS much faster. Give it a try here (feedback appreciated!):

I tried this and found thunderbird 3 to "crap out" quite frequently. Even when I POP downloaded 10,000 messages to Local Folders and then tried to move them to the new account via IMAP, it would fail on random messages. And because thunderbird likes to *copy* all of the messages you tell it to *move*, it wasn't getting anything done (it tries to copy all 10K messages first, then start deleting them from the old folder).

At this point, I'm hand moving them, a few hundred at a time, and looking for a better method to use with my clients, who have much more email than me.

Patrick, I have a couple dozen domains registered with gdad and I've been using them for dns. I remember having dns wiped out for a domain some timeback, but I think it was a new domain still in development. Today I am getting the dreaded Temporarily unavailable on a very imprtant domain. I was hoping to find liv chat support as my family is sleeping upstairs and I will probably end up yelling at someone. I sent a complaint by email form but then realized the email address is stuck waiting for the dns update. I have afriend who works from Network Solutions. I complained to him one time about their prices; he told me about Name Secure. The are appearently owned by NetSol, but thir prices compare with Gdad. I have just a few domains with the. now. Their infrastructure seems solid. It won't take much for me to move at least half of my domains over if GoDaddy gets any worse.
Thanks for sharing your experience and letting me post mine.

Yeah, but it's not free. It costs $7.50 per mailbox. That can add up fast. Especially when compared to free.

All in all, pretty nice driving. Although, I thought the point of drifting was to avoid hitting things...like, say, jersey barriers (2:20).
